Terms of Use
Last updated October 16, 2026
Draft for legal review. The parts in [SQUARE BRACKETS] are to be filled in before Paladdio is offered to customers.
These terms are an agreement between you and [BUSINESS NAME] ("Paladdio", "we"), of [ADDRESS], about your use of the Paladdio health and safety management service at paladdio.com and in the Paladdio app (the "Service"). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use the Service for a company, you agree for that company and confirm you may do so.
1. The Service
Paladdio helps companies keep health and safety records: hazard assessments, inspections, incidents, training and certificates, permits, emergency plans and similar. It is a record-keeping and workflow tool. It does not replace professional judgement, a qualified safety professional, or your duties under occupational health and safety law. Figures and suggestions in the Service (for example first aid requirements, scoring, checklists and typical maintenance intervals) are aids to be checked against the current law, the manufacturer's instructions and your own procedures before you rely on them.
2. Accounts
- Give accurate information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- A company's administrators decide who in the company has access and what role they have, and are responsible for removing people who should no longer have access.
- A personal account (for a worker who is not yet in a company) belongs to the worker. A company sees a worker's own certificates only if the worker chooses to share them.
- Tell us at once at [CONTACT EMAIL] if you think someone else has used your account.
3. Your data
- The records a company puts into Paladdio belong to that company. We use them only to provide the Service to that company, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
- A company's administrator can download the company's records and files at any time from the Company page.
- The company is responsible for having the right to put personal information about its workers and others into the Service, and for telling them about it, as the law requires.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, to upload anything you have no right to, to harm or harass anyone, to try to reach data that isn't yours, to disrupt the Service, or to copy or resell it.
5. Fees
[FEES: for example, "The Service is free during early access. We will give at least 30 days' notice before any charge applies, and you can leave without charge."]
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running and your data safe, and take regular backups, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may improve and change the Service. We will tell you in advance of changes that take away something you rely on.
7. Ending
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you where we reasonably can. When a company leaves, its administrator can first download its data; [RETENTION: for example, "we delete the company's data 90 days after the account is closed"].
8. Responsibility
[LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND WARRANTY WORDING TO BE WRITTEN BY COUNSEL.] Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will ask you to agree again the next time you sign in.
11. Contact
